Mango Surf beachfront vacation villa is an adorable petite-size 3 bedroom 2.5 bath beach and ocean front home with a large heated swimming pool, hot tub, central air conditioning, large grass lawn, and panoramic ocean views. This charming beachfront paradise offers laid-back old-Hawaii-style ambiance in a quiet residential neighborhood on the sunny drier south-facing shores of Kihei on the leeward side of Maui Island. The surrounding ambiance is tranquil and truly relaxing. Mango Surf is especially recommended for those seeking intimate luxury. Mango Surf is a legally permitted vacation rental home. In the fall of 2022, Mango is getting a comprehensive freshening up! We are adding all new mattresses, bedroom blinds, bamboo flooring, a complete and brand new kitchen with all-new appliances, counters, and cabinets, new cabinets and counter at the poolside cabana, new bathroom vanities, newly re-tiled bathroom showers, a freshly painted interior and exterior, and updated kitchen goods.

Throughout Mango Surf, we deliberately placed unique top-quality furnishings and decor to create an elegant beach house ambiance. The walls are decorated with tasteful original art crafted by some of the island's most prestigious artists. Furniture has been selected for comfort as well as good looks. In the living room the sofa set is made of Italian leather. The 84" long farmhouse style indoor dining table was recently assembled from reclaimed 100 year old imported solid teak. A state-of-art ultra-thin 1080p true HD Samsung television is wall-mounted in every room. All televisions have HD DVD players, bona-fide HD programming via HD cable boxes, and iPod alarm clock radios. In the great room is an HD DVR (PVR) that allows you to record your favorite television programs while you play at the beach. Each television will feature unlimited Netflix downloads along with other internet direct content streamed via ethernet equipped smart televisions. A central speaker system allows you to play music throughout the house. The third bedroom is equipped with a PS3 gaming device. Unlimited US mainland long distance telephone calling.

A graceful mature mango tree greets all arrivals to Mango Surf. Make your own natural frozen mango drinks when visiting during the fruit season. On the oceanside the property is decorated with flowering and fragrant plants and flowers. Tropical song birds roost in the rich foliage that envelopes the back yard. Swim and sun in the large backyard where palm trees wave in the gentle breezes that blow in off the sea, and at night tiki torches give a romantic glow to the garden and pool. In winter season it is possible to watch whales swimming by and playing or training their young in the sapphire blue offshore waters.

Inside Mango Surf is a large indoor living and dining room with bamboo floors, a covered outdoor living area, covered outdoor dining, pool cabana with kitchenette, a large heated swimming pool, dual zone central air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, a BBQ grill, and direct beach and ocean front access.

In front of Mango Surf the shoreline has a nice quiet small sandy beach area sheltered by an ancient off-shore reef. The ocean gently laps along the shoreline providing a terrific lagoon-like area for children to play and swim in the warm shallow water. Half a dozen other wide golden sand postcard-perfect beaches are just a short distance away. Try a different beach every day! We provide portable coolers, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and beach towels at Mango. If you choose to experience one of Maui's other sandy swimming beach parks, please know that access is free, and they mostly all provide free public parking, restrooms, picnic tables, and showers..

Next to the extra-large heated swimming pool is a separate cabana pavilion with a kitchenette (fridge, sink, barware, blender), a half powder bath, and an alfresco garden shower. There are 6 reclining chaise lounge chairs with thickly padded custom cushions set around the pool. Also in the garden is a large double size hammock on a cypress wood stand. Outside the great room is a covered patio for outdoor dining at a table that seats six. A brand new portable Weber grill is ready for delicious evening BBQ's. Outside of the master bedroom is a complete outdoor living area under a spacious covered roof. The outdoor living area is complete with outdoor rug, 3 love seat sofas, side chair, coffee table, side tables and a card table for four. Set throughout the garden are glazed ceramic pots with plant gardens for a spectacular outdoor living space.

The kitchen is stocked with all new cooking, dining and serving items including crystal bar ware, and Hotel Collection bone china. There are abundant serving bowls and platters for family dining. To create memorable island dining in your own private paradise, we purchased abundant small appliances for your convenience. In the kitchen is a rice cooker, waffle maker, roasting pan, espresso machine, dual coffee makers with grinders, french press, blender, mixer, juicer, salad spinner, and All-Clad cookware.

The master bedroom features an extended outdoor covered lanai and a glorious ocean view. A California King bed faces directly out towards the ocean. Silvery platinum blue privacy lined silk drapes grace the wrap-around floor to ceiling windows. Two sets of french doors open directly out to the outdoor living area. The master bedroom has a walk in closet area with abundant hangers, wardrobe mirrors, safe, and extra blankets and pillows.

Two other bedrooms are cozy and comfortable with luxury bed linens, pillows and other guest supplies. The middle bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has either two twin beds or another king bed. Both of the back bedrooms share a shower bath.

All linens provided in Mango Surf are top quality all-cotton high thread count bed linens, down pillows, synthetic down alternative pillows, down duvets, thick all cotton Hotel Collection mattress pads, and all-cotton blankets. Each bathroom is stocked with a scale, make-up mirror, plush all-cotton Hotel Collection towels, hair dryers, and assorted soaps and custom made Maui brand amenities. There are two large showers inside the home and an outdoor shower and pool bath in the cabana.

In one direction you may walk to the grocery store, post office, bank, restaurants, doctor's office, and even to a free county operated open air heated Olympic size lap pool and kiddie pool. In the other direction you may walk just a pinch under one mile to a large convenient public park with night-lit basketball and tennis courts, skateboard ramp, in-line skating rink, and children's play equipment. Adjacent to the park is a collection of small boutique restaurants, grocery store, bars with live music, gym, Starbucks, ice cream shop, surf shop and much more!

All beds are equipped with plush pillow-top brand new ultra-luxurious quality mattresses, down duvet, all-cotton blankets, and high thread-count all cotton bed linens.

Housekeeping Services Provided For details about the inclusive no-charge (complimentary) housekeeping services provided with your reservation, please refer to the rental cost quote provided to you at the time of first placing your reservation. You will receive information about the housekeeping schedule (dates and times) upon check in. No housekeeping service on Christmas Day December 25 nor on New Years Day January 1.

Inclusive housekeeping service may vary based on rate paid or on a seasonal basis. Our villas are extremely well stocked with an abundant supply of towels, blankets and extra bed linens, along with soap and cleaning products. There is plenty of inventory to suffice for several days. There is a laundry room inside your own residence that provides a washer/dryer, laundry soap and supplies, iron/board. Personal laundry, clean up in the kitchen after cooking or meals, and grill cleaning, are not performed during housekeeping services, unless arranged in advance and paid for separately.

Light daily hotel-style cleaning provided includes:
  • Re-make beds
  • Decorative bed pillows are placed in the closet for your convenience
  • Replace stocked soap and paper products and replenish Maui Amenities toiletries
  • Remove trash/garbage
  • Change bath towels if left on the floor or in the tub to be laundered off-site
  • Start a wash for small towels including kitchen towels
  • Wipe off bathtubs, sinks and counters
  • Surface cleaning following by a sweep/vacuum of floors and carpets in traffic areas
  • Wipe off outside furniture and counters.
Some reservations (based on length of stay or rate paid) also receive a linen change and additional cleaning service every 4th day, or during the middle of each full week rented. Mid-week or Mid-Stay cleaning provided includes:
  • Change bed sheets and pillow cases, re-make beds, launder linens off-site
  • Decorative bed pillows are placed in the closet for your convenience
  • Replace stocked soap and paper products and replenish Maui Amenities toiletries

Beach & Ocean Access Stroll out from your home across the sprawling green grass lawn, and then directly on to a narrow sandy shoreline. The water along this shoreline is fairly shallow due to an ancient off-shore reef that protects the beach from large waves. This is a perfect location for young children to play.

At the beach you can snorkel, swim, scuba dive, kayak, and paddle board. From time to time there is a surf break offshore nearby that provides for surfing small waves.

Half a dozen other wide golden sand postcard-perfect beaches are a short distance away from Mango Surf. They are easily reached by car with a 1-2 minute drive, a healthy 2 mile stroll, or a short bike ride. All nearby public beaches provide parking, restrooms and showers.
Pool Mango Surf is blessed with a spectacular free-form heated saline-filtered swimming pool.
No cover or fencing is provided. Pool heating is provided during cooler months, to an average of 83 degrees.
Higher pool temperatures may not be attainable given the depth and size of the pool and the frequency of gas deliveries by truck.
This pool is one of the larger and deeper pools we know of at any private rental home on Maui.
Next to the pool is a cabana house with three bar stools, a kitchenette (fridge, sink, barware, blender, powder bath, and a shower.

Outdoor Spa Hot tub
Air Conditioning Central air conditioning system with two split zones in the main house. Two bedrooms also have ceiling fans.
Air Conditioning should never be set to cool below 70-72 or the equipment may freeze or experience any other damage. Most homes and villas in Hawaii are equipped with residential grade equipment which does not provide bottomless cooling. Cooling is available to a reasonable temperature, usually in the 70-72 range on the very low end. Most guests find that a setting of 72-74 is very comfortable once a unit has been allowed to cool down and with doors and windows closed. At select properties, the air conditioning may only function to a temperature in the 72-74 range with lower temperature settings mechanically excluded.
BBQ There is a portable propane BBQ grill along with a fridge, wet bar, and sink at the pool cabana.
Entertainment Central speakers and tuner in the living room along with the newest model of Harmony master remote which operates the iPod dock, Samsung HD TV, HD CD/DVD player, and HD digital cable box. Netflix streams unlimited programs to each TV. Each bedroom is equipped with an iPod alarm clock radio. State of art Samsung ultra-thin televisions throughout. PS3 gaming console in the 3rd Bedroom. Unlimited US mainland long distance telephone calling.
Dining There is indoor dining for six to eight guests. Outdoor dining accommodates 6 persons.

VILLA SPECIFIC DISCLOSURES
  • The sandy shoreline in front of the property is public.
  • Guests use the pool is at their own risk - no lifeguard is provided. Pool is not covered or fenced. It is suggested for guests to bring a pool alarm if concerned about water safety for guests.
  • Mango Surf is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood. Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am.
  • On-site maintenance for interior plant care is performed weekly.
  • The bathrooms and kitchen are original construction, although bath hardware has been updated and the kitchen has a new fridge and gas range/oven. No bath tub on property. Both bathrooms have a shower only, although one shower has a deep pan that has been used for bathing young children and babies.
SPECIFIC RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS STIPULATED BY MAUI COUNTY AS A CONDITION FOR GRANTING THIS PROPERTY A SHORT-TERM (Vacation) RENTAL PERMIT/LICENSE:
  • Quiet Hours From 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., During Which Time the Noise from the Short-Term Rental Home Shall Not Unreasonably Disturb Adjacent Neighbors
  • Sound that is Audible Beyond the Property Boundaries During Non-Quiet Hours Shall Not be More Excessive than Would be Otherwise Associated with a Residential Area
  • Amplified Sound that is Audible Beyond the Property Boundaries of the Short-Term Rental Home is Prohibited
  • Vehicles Shall be Parked in the Designated Onsite Parking Area and Shall Not be Parked on the Street
  • No Parties and No Group Gatherings Other than Registered Guests Shall Occur
  • Occupancy is for 2 Guests per Bedroom
  • Rental is for One Set of Guests (one family) at a time. Property is Not Rented at the Same Time to Unaffiliated Persons

The accommodation you are renting has flexible bedding options in at least one sleeping room/bedroom. Our staff will ask you in advance of arrival how you would like the beds made up in those spaces. Standard Amenities
Most villas typically will be stocked with a barbeque grill, answering machine, alarm clocks, phone, television, video cassette recorder and/or DVD, CD stereo, washer & dryer, iron & board, coffee maker & grinder, microwave, blender, toaster oven, dishwasher, oven, range, ceiling fans, hair dryer, spices & herbs, paper & pen, kitchen supplies such as cookware, glassware, silverware, outdoor furnishings, starter supply of soap, paper, cleaning products and utensils, and dining, bed and bath linens. Usually some beach chairs and towels are provided. Guests often misplace beach towels and chairs therefore an exact inventory is not guaranteed unless reserving a luxury class home. Some homes also provide iPod docks, high speed internet access, wireless networks, fax machine, espresso/cappuccino machine, exercise equipment and other upscale toys. Please inquire if a specific amenity will improve your comfort or convenience.
Amenities Not Included
Provide your own toiletries, slippers, and wrap, however Private Paradise Villas does stock in its managed homes bathrobes and custom toiletries. Recreational equipment, if found on the property is incidental, and is not a guaranteed feature of the house inventory. Boogie Boards, Snorkel Sets, Surf Boards, Kayaks, Bicycles, and other sports equipment can be rented in advance through third party providers. Please inquire with our Concierge for reservations.
Rates Include
Direct local phone, parking (except at condominiums or hotels), Concierge assistance, optional greeting upon arrival, occupancy up to the maximum number of persons allowed, weekly pool/spa service, weekly gardening, post-departure cleaning if not charged separately, extra person fees and housekeeping services as noted up to the stated maximum amount.
Rates Do Not Include
In Hawaii, homes are provided on an a-la-carte basis and most incidental personal services are not included in the rates quoted. Not included are long distance phone (unless a property offers a fixed price monthly unlimited long distance calling plan, security/damage/incidentals/activity deposit, extra guest-requested pool, spa service or yard cleaning, personal laundry, extra housekeeping other than noted, Hawaii State General Excise Tax 4.166%, Hawaii State Transient Accommodations Tax 9.25%, food or beverages, CSA Vacation Rental Insurance, lei greeting, airport greeting, transfers, transportation, auto rental, rental bedding, child care supplies, child proofing services, sightseeing, tours, activities, baggage handling at airport or at villa, sports and water recreation supplies, replenishment of paper & soap products other than initial supply, and any other items or services not specifically listed as included.
Standard Policies
Respect the stated maximum occupancy allowed please! This is very important, as all private homes in our collection are the valuable and beloved second homes of individual private owners. The availability and future right to enjoy our multi-million dollar vacation homes is conditioned upon each guest respecting the owner's pre-disclosed specific terms and conditions. Remove your shoes upon entering your home, as Hawaii's volcanic soil can stain carpets, tile, and fabrics. Step outside to smoke please. No pets on property. Rinse off sand and sun lotions before walking on interior floors sitting on furniture. Sun products will stain upholstery and linens and may damage furnishings. Weddings, receptions, and gatherings are strictly prohibited on any of our properties, due to residential zoning codes which discourage non-residential use, boisterous use causing noise complaints, excessive occupancy causing parking problems in the neighborhood, or any use involving additional non registered guests on the property.
Cancellation Policy
REFUND & CANCELLATIONS: GUEST UNDERSTANDS AND ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE INITIAL PAYMENT BY GUEST IS NON-REFUNDABLE, UNLESS THE PROPERTY IS DAMAGED BY A CAUSE OTHER THAN GUEST NEGLIGENCE, OR IF THE PROPERTY IS OTHERWISE RENDERED UNFIT FOR HABITATION AND NO ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE PROPERTY CAN BE ARRANGED. IF GUEST CANCELS THIS RESERVATION, A REFUND OF GUEST'S INITIAL PAYMENT MAY BE MADE, LESS A PRE-DISCLOSED CANCELLATION CHARGE, BASED ON THE GROSS RENTAL AMOUNT AND TAXES ORIGINALLY DUE FOR THE RESERVATION, IF THE ACCOMMODATION IS RE-RESERVED BY ANOTHER PARTY FOR THE SAME DATES AND AT THE SAME RATE.
