Polynesian Paradise Estate
Available for reservations through 3/19/202512 months out
Polynesian Paradise Estate encompasses more than one acre of privacy gated beach front splendor with 11,000 square feet of living space, 7 bedrooms, 11 full and partial bathrooms, and 3 kitchens. The bedding provided is One King, Five Queens, Two Full Beds.

This palatial tropical paradise features air conditioned bedrooms, a heated swimming pool with cascading waterfall, a pool cabana with hot tub spa, a Japanese style deep-soaking furo bath in an Asian styled bathhouse, sauna, koi pond, and high speed wireless internet service.

The property has been undergoing many improvements and upgrades over the past year and more are still to come! Just a few of the recent improvements include an imported reclining leather sectional in the living room, new bed linens, koi ponds, a handcrafted private entry gate, Casabella-type shaded outdoor lounging chairs and sofas, patio canopy seating, a new gym room and a new office room.

Set amidst towering palm trees and vibrantly-hued tropical flowers and foliage, one of America's leading entrepreneurs created a modern-day vision of a quintessential Polynesian village. The Estate is exquisitely decorated in an aesthetically pleasing combination of elegantly crafted Balinese rattans, Chinese and Japanese antiques, and Hawaiian period furnishings to produce a kingdom worthy of Pacific island royalty.

Polynesian Paradise is an acclaimed hide-a-way where entertainment industry notables have vacationed with exclusive privacy and security. An assortment of seven pavilions and dwellings are architecturally unified by gracefully rounded stucco walls with Indonesian ironwood roof shakes, stately solid Ohia log posts, and hand-woven grass fabric ceilings. Flagstone, polished marble, glistening granite, and oiled rare tropical hardwoods are generously employed throughout. High ceilings, fans, and floor to ceiling retracting glass walls combine with fresh trade winds to provide natural cooling.

On the beach side, in the center of the estate is the two story main living pavilion with living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, two private bathrooms, and one half bath. To the side and a few feet apart, also facing the beach and ocean, is the Boat House suite with an upstairs bedroom, bathroom, and living area with panoramic views. Connected to the Boat House via a covered walkway is the second living room, dining area, and kitchen, which in turn is connected to two side by side bedrooms. A few feet away from the bedrooms, under another covered walkway is the charming Japanese bathhouse pavilion with koi pond, sauna, shower, and deep soaking furo bath. Across the entry courtyard and above the carriage house are two bedrooms which share a common living area and third kitchen. In the opposite direction towards the gated entry is a large pool pavilion.

The main pavilion great room has a soaring 25 foot cathedral ceiling, 42 inch flat screen plasma television, a CD and DVD, waterfall entry, marble floors, fireplace, antique carved Chinese wedding bed for lounging, Hawaiian antiques and art, half bath and curved tropical wood stairs leading up to the master suite. The spacious main kitchen has extensive granite counters for group dining prep, a Gaggenau gas range, rich Koa wood cabinets, and plentiful storage.

A second living pavilion between bedrooms 3 and 4/5 has a lounging area with a 42 inch plasma flat screen television, CD Stereo, rattan sofas, indoor dining table for 4, patio dining for 4, and an all new gourmet kitchen.

Sprawling green grass lawns greet sapphire blue waters at a sandy beach cove framed by an ancient Chinese banyan tree. Off-shore reefs protect the coastline of East Oahu including Kailua-Lanikai, which is decorated with miles and miles of golden sand beaches. Reminiscent of enchanting Bora Bora, the clear, calm, warm, and shallow lagoon is perfect for swimming, boating, windsurfing and kayaking. Off-shore, the picturesque Mokulua Islands are illuminated by glittering morning sunrises, brilliant blue skies, and puffy white clouds.

Many guests hire a private chef and butler to recreate the luxury of room service. As the property has as many as three kitchens, food and drinks are prepared in a location conveniently spaced apart from where ever you may be relaxing, and then brought to you on a silver tray with a big aloha smile.

15 miles east of Honolulu, the Kailua-Lanikai community has small town ambiance with grocery stores, small local shops, casual restaurants, several golf courses, tennis courts, and a world famous golden sand swimming beach.

Honolulu, with Pearl Harbor, an international airport, famous Waikiki Beach, historical buildings, beach front restaurants, art museums, parks, zoo, Chinatown, world-class shopping, concert halls, theaters, and adult entertainment is just 20-30 minutes away via a new elevated super highway. Hanauma Bay, famous for snorkeling and scuba diving, Sandy Beach, the monster waves of the North shore, paved bike paths, and other scenic destinations are a pleasant drive from Polynesian Paradise.

Your Personal Concierge will arrange for limousine transfers to Pearl Harbor or the airport, auto rentals, catered dinners, sailing, fishing, helicopter charters, advance reservations for events, theater performances or concerts, family portraits, star-lit massages, vow renewal ceremonies, golf tee-times and other pleasures to enhance your vacation on Oahu.

A private chef is available for hire to grocery shop, or to prepare and serve up to 3 meals per day. You may wish to consider the luxury of having a chef-prepared gourmet dinner served in-villa and al-fresco on your arrival evening! Our concierge may arrange a private luau complete with fire knife performer, hula dancing, bartender, Hawaiian songs and games, flower leis, and gourmet luau styled cuisine. The luau is available with advance notice and at additional cost.

Private Paradise Villas will assist with all vacation planning needs and our own exclusive in-house Concierge will be available to you while on island. Private Paradise Villas originated the concept in Hawaii of providing luxury "Four Seasons Hotel" style bona-fide Personal Concierge Service, combined with a private resort-like vacation home experience.

With crystal clear waters, glistening white sand, and the warm rays of the sun, the beaches of O`ahu offer a friendly, inviting experience in paradise. O`ahu beaches also provide a range of exciting activities such as snorkeling, surfing, windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving, boogie boarding, and kayaking. With the average water temperature ranging from 75 - 80 degrees F year round, it`s easy to understand why visitors and locals alike are drawn to the gorgeous waterscape offshore.

From the dramatic, powerful, pounding waves of the North Shore, to the gentle break along Waikiki Beach - whether you enjoy the crowds or prefer isolation - there is a beach on O`ahu waiting for you. Snorkel next to schools of tropical fish at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve, voted Best Beach in recent years. Learn to ride the same waves as ancient Hawaiian chiefs did along Waikiki Beach at one of O`ahu's fine surf schools. Watch in awe as the world`s best professional surfers carve up the North Shore`s massive waves every winter. Bringing the whole family to O`ahu? Numerous beaches around the island have picnic areas that are near the beach and facilities to accommodate the children, locally known as "keiki". With 112 miles of beaches surrounding the island of O`ahu, the hardest thing to decide on is which beach to go to. Regardless of your choice, kick back, relax and soak in O`ahu, paradise found.

The Island of O`ahu is the heart of Hawaii`s cultural and art scene. O`ahu celebrates the cultures of Hawaii through music, dance, fine arts, and theater - from outstanding international touring groups and exhibits to inspired homegrown arts - reflecting the island`s multiculturalism and rich history. O`ahu`s rich Hawaiian culture and multi-ethnic heritage, coupled with sophistication from being the center of the Pacific - where east meets west though Aloha - truly makes this Hawaiian island a treasure. Discover this hidden gem of the Pacific and be enriched by the people who make O`ahu a special place.

FINE ARTS - O`ahu offers a plethora of fine art venues throughout the island. Explore world-class traveling and permanent local exhibits that will surprise your visual senses. FIRST FRIDAYS - During O`ahu's vibrant First Fridays, downtown Honolulu galleries and studios open their doors for an evening celebrating artists, art and art making of all kinds. The event scheduled for every first Friday of the month is free and features more than 20 participating galleries.

PERFORMING ARTS - O`ahu`s cultural make-up sets the foundation for a diverse range of performing arts that visitors can enjoy. From a Hawaiian hula performance to interpretations of Hawaiian legends through contemporary dance to international touring productions to some of the best community theaters, O`ahu will keep you busy.

MUSIC - The Hawaiian spirit is fertile with the soul of music from the traditional to the contemporary, from Hawaiian mele to Asian melodies to Western tunes.

HISTORY - A cultural experience of O`ahu is incomplete without a step back into the history of the islands. O`ahu has the greatest collection of museums in the state that best reflect the history, culture and people of Hawaii.

To say that Hawaii is more than a beach doesn't come close to summing up all the activities available to visitors who enjoy culture and the arts. O`ahu has always been a place to relax and rejuvenate. In fact, Waikiki was a place of healing for the ancient Hawaiians, who would bathe at what is today Gray`s Beach fronting the Halekulani hotel. They named this stretch of ocean that included a freshwater channel running through the reef, kawehewehe, meaning "healing waters". O`ahu, is one of the world's premier wellness destinations. O`ahu is blessed with a balmy climate and sunny days so massage, yoga, tai chi, or personal training sessions may be scheduled for the privacy of your own villa "resort". An abundance of indigenous treatment ingredients means you might be rubbed, scrubbed and lathered with seaweed, sugar, papaya, pineapple, coconut, ginger, Kona coffee or macadamia nuts.

The boutiques and 5 star hotels along Waikiki, Ala Moana Shopping Center, Chinatown, Aloha Tower, and many other locations provide great shopping therapy when you need to take a break from sunning or sports.

Honolulu is the home to Pacific Rim cuisine, as well as a bountiful array of casual family-friendly, ethnic, or chic fine dining options. Choose from authentic Chinese noodle shops, to sushi plucked fresh from the ocean, Alan Wong's, Roy's, Duke's, and so many other delicious venues. If you wish to connect with fresh local products, check out the Kapiolani Saturday morning farmers market.

A few recommended activities are 1) Tantalus Rainforest - venture through the 2,013 foot Tantalus Rainforest. Enjoy the panoramic views of the Honolulu skyline below and the lush rainforest abundance surrounding you on this hillside of wildlife, flowers and trees of guava, banana, eucalyptus and ginger. 2) National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl - The Punchbowl Crater, remnant of a long-extinct volcano, is the resting-place for 33,259 of the world's soldiers. 3) Lyon Arboretum, Manoa Valley - This 194 acre garden features over 8,000 plant species and endless scenic hiking trails. Oahu's Contemporary Museum - a stimulating look at the Museum's outstanding art collection and a light lunch at its gourmet cafe. The dramatic Koolau mountains serve as the backdrop for the Museum's artist gardens and outdoor exhibits of contemporary art. 4) Waioli Tea Room, Manoa Valley - Nestled in Manoa Valley and surrounded by charming gardens, the Waioli Tea Room is the perfect setting for refreshing afternoon tea. And while you're there, don't miss Robert Louis Stevenson's Little Grass Shack, an added surprise found on the grounds of the Tea Room! 5) Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve, Koko Head Beach Park - Enjoy a unique snorkeling experience at one of Hawaii's premier sites. Sheltered in the curved bay of a breached volcanic crater, this marine conservatory is famous for its pristine sand beach and isolated beauty. 6) Waimanalo Beach, Waimanalo - Perhaps the prettiest stretch of pristine white sand beach on O`ahu, this shoreline fronts majestic views of the Ko'olau Range. You can walk for a full mile along this shore. Great for families and perfect for picnics. 7) Sunset/Ehukai/Banzai Pipeline Beaches - Enjoy the spectacle of surfers catching the thrill of, at times, 20 to 30 foot waves during the winter months. 8) Bishop Museum, Kapalama - Completed in 1890 and built in honor of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop by her widowed husband, Charles Reed Bishop, this museum is respected as the preeminent keeper of the natural and cultural history of the Pacific islands. Its collection includes restored outrigger canoes, royal feather capes, Polynesian drums, historic surfboards, and prize attractions for the kids - a 50 foot whale skeleton and a Planetarium. Call in advance for a schedule of free weekly classes on quilt making, hula dancing, lei making, weaving, folk arts and crafts. 9) U.S.S. Arizona Memorial, Pearl Harbor - Visit the sunken U.S.S. Arizona Battleship Memoria, a shrine to the crewmen that lost their lives, their names now etched eternally in a marble wall.

VILLA SPECIFIC DISCLOSURES
  • "The property will be made exclusively available to the renter for a full period of 30-days and no one else may occupy the property during that period. Rates based on a 30 day rental period."
  • Property is east facing, so sunset views are uncommon, however watching the sun and moon rise over the ocean is enchanting.
  • The sandy beach shoreline stretching along the property is not private. From time to time pedestrians will stroll through the shallow water in front of the property and boats anchor nearby. Gated security entrance.
  • The bedrooms are spread out over the property in separate dwellings. Families with children are encouraged to carefully consider the bedroom configurations.
  • A few days after a full moon lunar phase, jelly fish may be more prevalent in the off-shore waters. The influx of jelly fish is a temporary condition that cannot be predicted or controlled. During such phases, the property staff or other local sources may be able to provide some warning.
  • Air Conditioning should never be set to cool below 70-72 or the equipment may freeze or experience any other damage. Most homes and villas in Hawaii are equipped with residential grade equipment which does not provide bottomless cooling. Cooling is available to a reasonable temperature, usually in the 70-72 range on the very low end. Most guests find that a setting of 72-74 is very comfortable once a unit has been allowed to cool down and with doors and windows closed. At select properties, the air conditioning may only function to a temperature in the 72-74 range with lower temperature settings mechanically excluded.
  • Taxes are subject to change by State of Hawaii at any time and without advance notice to guest.
  • Per County and City of Honolulu Bill 41 (21) CD2, or Ordinance 22-7, effective on October 23, 2022, Long-term rentals (consecutive 90 days or more) may be extended month to month. Existing owners of dwelling units being rented out for 30 consecutive days up to 89 consecutive days may continue to rent them, but on April 23, 2023, all such rentals must either cease renting, convert to long-term 90 days or more leases, or have registered to become new legal transient accommodations.
